Hawai'i

From the comfortable chair on our balcony at the Hilton Hawaiien Vilage..... this is great!

We checked in yesterday night and where upgraded to the Ali'i tower. It's a Garden View room.... hmm, more a see the other buildings view.

But we expected that and it's just fine. We won't spent a lot of time watching the view, there's much to be seen and to do. Like getting married Monday :) The bathroom is huge and even has a small TV. Unfortunally it can't be seen from the toillet :)

The flights here where long and uncomfortable. Sweety's belly didn't really fit comfortably between the chairs when she was getting in or out. We might upgrade to Economy Plus on our way home.

We where schocked to hear about the earthquake in Pakistan.... more than 20.000 dead already? Last time we went on a trip to the US the Tsunami happened. Terrible....

Time now for me to take a shower and then we'll go to Duke's Canoe Club for breakfast.

We're back

We're back from our trip to California and New York. We had a great time and made lots of pictures with the Canon Powershot we got from my dad, just before we left. What a great gift! I'll post some stories and images on my blog in the coming weeks and I'll tell you all about my contract not being renewed at The Job and what I'll do next. For now, this is me driving from San Francisco to San Diego...

Back from Limburg

Sweety and i had a great time in South Limburg. We stayed in a fine hotel, did some shopping and enjoyed the nature and weather. I also had a great time playing with my new phone, for a phone it makes great pictures.
Like this one. It shows a typically Dutch phenomenon; the Caravan. This is more like a bedroom on wheels than like the huge motorhomes you see in the States.

In The Netherlans you need a special driver licence to drive a big motorhome. And a caravan is much cheaper. Thatīs why they are so popular i guess.

The Dutch are famous for invading Europe with their caravans during spring and summer. And now, with Adre Kuipers we are also invading Space....

West coast

We're very early this year... we've decided we'll visit the US West coast in december. I hope that we have enough money to add a couple of days on Hawaii, spend Christmas on the beach :)
Yesterday i went to some travel agencies to get brochures, for some reason those paper brochures are more fun to read then websites. The otherwise friendly ladies at those agencies gave me funny looks when i asked for the winter 2004/05 brochure.
I'd really like to visit Las Vegas, Los Angeles and specially San Francisco. Does anyone have any suggestions as what to see, visit, do and where to stay? We still have plenty of time :)
