Expat shopping

I'm so happy!!! When i was walking from work to the bus i saw a sign that read "There's No Taste Like Home". I stopped to take a look and a there's a new store in my rainy Dutch city of The Hague: Expatshopping... they offer a wide range of British and American products. And i'm very interested in the American products. Our good friends Kev & Mel gave us a superb cookingbook, based on american products. Now i hope we can buy them at Expatshopping :)

And for all you people in the States that want to order Dutch products. Visit Holland's Best or Holland American. They both sell speculaas, Venco drop and.... duh Dutch Cheese :)

Mr. Freezem, I see from your Blogs that you seek an American experience. I would like to find a reasonably intelligent person in the Netherlands who might be interested in trading information about traveling and accomadations. I have lived here in the USA for nearly 50 years in almost every locale from deserts to mountains to swamps and in a dozen major cities. I spent 15 years as a zookeeper and several years as a saute cook and baker and presently I work as a merchant seaman. If you would be willing to assist me in finding inexpensive lodging while visiting in Holland I would be willing to reciprecate in kind. I spent most of my life in south Louisiana and have some excellent cookbooks if you need more food information. Regards, Michael

Thank you very much for your kind comment. Louisiana cooking, i'd love to try that!
And i'd be more than willing to help you with information about inexpensive lodging and all the must-see places in The Netherland. Do you already know when you want to visit The Netherlands?

It looks like you really know the US well, in what city are you living at the moment? We plan on traveling to the US in the spring.

Well, just let me know what i can do for you!
